Bad news
This post was supposed to be one grousing that I was never, EVER meant to move.
Cuz last time was...well, last time and this time, despite booking two trucks a month plus in advance, pro-rating out the new place a week early, getting help from more people than before AND setting the move date almost a week before I have to vacate, I still seem to have chosen the only damn day it might rain.
But none of that is the bad news. Not at all.
We got a phone call at 2 AM from Brenda's mother. Grandpa passed away last night.
So I suppose this move will be ever-so-slightly complicated by a trip to the nation next door to pay our respects. There's a faint possibility I may become a pall-bearer, too.
But we'll see. For now, there's more to pack.
