I almost ran somebody over!

So here I was, making a right turn on red where I had to jump an additional lane to stay out of the bus lane and OH MY CRAP...

I hit my brakes, yelled "WHOA!!!" and put my hand over my mouth in shock.

Mind you, the guy was a good three-four feet away from the car even after I stopped.
He was plenty safe. Just the fact that I hadn't seen him previously was more than enough to make me reflexively act for his safety.

So while I'm catching my breath, he growled, "What the hell was that?"

Can someone explain why I wanted to stop my car, get out, pull that ridiculous neon green polycrapulent suit jacket over his head, punch him square in the Dentu-Grip and take a time machine to the 80s to return his silly blazer to WHAM?!?! Why?

I mean--two seconds prior I wanted to save him, right?

I feel your pain, man.

Because you thought he might be worth keeping safe two seconds prior. He then opened his mouth and assured you he wasn't.

Had I said, "Wot (BLEEP)?" and pulled my car over, he woulda broke a hip trying to run.

I could have at least opened my car door to yell at him and smacked him with it, huh?
