Ride This, Don't Ride That: MN State Fair Midway Edition

Guess what returned to the Mighty Midway this year?

Ride This: Somebody brought back a Zamperla Air Race. And they're amazing.







Cuz they do THIS.








And I happen to like that quite a bit.








B's not so happy with that. So she stays on the ground.









Don't Ride This: It's very similar to Valleyfair's Poor Choice POS Northern Lights, which will be fully installed by December for the 2017 season. Except theirs will be taller. And maybe run backward occasionally. Why would you pay top dollar to ride once? You can buy one admission to Valleyfair this year AND get in all next year--from May to Late October--for 'bout $70. And ride other rides. And play in the waterpark. And stand in long lines for Halloween stuffs.

Frankly, this ride is a Nope from both of us. B will ride a 310-foot tall coaster all day, but swaying sensations? Too much for her. Me? I find it boring. But even if you'd like to ride, there's better ways to do that than the Fair.

I fucking LOVE that thing.

If Valleyfair added one, I'd binge-ride it like a freak.
If the Mall added one, there'd be no question about paying twice as much as Valleyfair for a mere six-acre park.
