Is it Superhero Yet? Is it SUPERHERO YET?!?!?

So I ran into Best Buy at The Mall (yes, the Big One) Friday afternoon practically foaming at the mouth and breathless. I stared in long disbelief at the Front Door Movie display like WOT???!?!?!!? before barreling for the 3D Blu-Ray section (it wasn't filmed in 4K, so a brutha's gotta settle) before finally running to a Blue Shirt and squealing WHERE MA HEEEROOOEEES only to be informed that Captain America: Civil War's release date is not Till Tuesday. So I had to settle for snatching a couple Google cards, paying for them at the register, scratching them off in the entry area, redeeming them like a twitchy junkie getting a fix and dashing off for the Pokestops and gyms. Cuz I'm not linking my Google account to an actual credit account cuz I'm a tinfoil-hat wearing old man who also pees in mason jars Screw YOU I'm Just Not. Where was I? Oh, RIGHT.

Anyway, have you ever thought about who'd win a real fight amongst them? You don't have to. Scarlet Witch would win. Or wait. She already won. See, the only person she didn't whomp Real Good in Age Of Ultron (C'mon Hawkeye doesn't count, his 'true fear' wasn't interesting/would have revealed plot points out of sequence) was Vision--who went one-on-one in Civil War and uhhhhhhhhh yeah. That ended quickly.

One day they're gonna let a black man win a superhero fight HA WHO AM I KIDDING but until then?
I'll keep rooting for Wanda Maximoff.

"I'm a tinfoil-hat wearing old man who also pees in mason jars" Always suspected that of you, lmbo! Nah, I'm kidding.

I think my Blu Ray is trying to keel over. Suggestions for a new one?

Depends on how much you're trying to spend. You realize--of course--the rest of the world is moving on either to specialty Blu-Rays or streaming. :-P

There's plenty of product that connects to the internet wirelessly and offers Netflix, Hulu, etc. I bought B a cheap Sony that does alla that and PlayStation Plus (which neither of us use) but for under $100, it wasn't bad.

If you're thinking about jumping up to the next generation tho? The new Xbox S for $300 includes a 4K Blu-ray player. To get the most out of it, you'd need a 4K TV that also has HDR capability AND all your HDMI cabling would have to be up to snuff (2.0a or faster--which isn't terribly expensive, if you buy it on Amazon). But it's worth the effort. The color will nearly make you poop yourself. But even if you weren't buying a whole new telly set-up, $300 for an advanced XBox and a 4K Blu-ray is cheaper than $400 for a 4K Blu-Ray.

But but BUT unless you have a 4K HDR telly or plan to get one within the next year? Go cheap. Just make sure it has Wi-Fi abilities.

Thanks Dear! We need to upgrade our tv too, I think, because the picture isn't as good as it used to be on our Samsung 3D LED whatever.

Levi would love for me to buy a new Xbox.... but then I would have to share the tv with him... and that ain't gonna happen! They have their own setup in the mancave =)

Unless you're in the market for a 4K Blu-Ray Right Freakin' NOW, there's no reason to buy an XBox S.
Microsoft's 'Project Scorpio' will be out next Christmas, which will stomp all previous Xboxes. XBox S included.

I knew I could count on you to dig deeper into my pocket.... I guess we better prepare to buy a Scorpio from Santa.

Except it's not gonna look much better than what you have now--UNLESS you have an HDR-compatible 4K telly. And all the cables.
Cuz high-tech toys are crazy like that.

Static Shock was a teenager, but he won a bunch of the time.
I know. Animated. Teenager. But, it's what I've got.

You get a movie made of the comic my wife and I used to do made into a movie, I promise Dynamo will kick ass. (Sadly the actor I always wanted to play him,Michael Clarke Duncan , passed...)
