Goodbye, summer. Goodbye.

(Some of you may wonder, What the heck is HE wailng about? It isn't Labor Day, yet! But for me? It is. You see, Da Babies have already got their back-to-school braids to the tune of about $200 a head. So there will be NO fun this weekend. No fun involving wetness, anyway...and that's what counts)
I'll miss taking half-days off to run off and tube-surfing / mowing people down / getting punched at Bunker Beach and half-days off at ValleyFair and half-days off just because I have leave time and freakin' CAN.
On the other hand? The folks I do work for will be more than happy to see me.
It's not as if I need to get all seasonal-affective about it. ValleyFair's open an extra month this year, so there's a bit more coasting fun to be had. Actually, the entertainment will be even better than during the regular season. And as waterparks go? Well....to be honest, there's a year-round park with more slides and activities than both the outdoor parks I frequent combined. Nowhere near as cheap, mind you. But it's there.
Nevertheless, there's nothing quite like walking out of the office with shorts, sandals and sunglasses in hand, reclining beach chair in the trunk, the sun, the wind and the tunes on your player. Ah. I'll miss it.
But but but? One last run for old times' sake.
I'm out at 1.
