And Then Came The Wilderness InfoMercial

I have a Father's Day custom. Or had. I'd take Da Babies with me to Mount Olympus Theme and Water Park in Wisconsin Dells. They have an insane collection of wooden coasters, go-karts, a wave pool with killer (figuratively!) nine-foot waves and a fairly nice waterpark. Typically, I'm on the road by 6 AM Sunday and leaving the park (more like, starting to leave) by 5 PM for the 3.5 hour drive home.

But one summer, I took Da Babies for an overnight stay at the adjoining hotel. Which earned us two days for the price of one and spared me 7 hours of driving in a single day. It was quite nice.

This year? I asked B if we could stay overnight. Which would mean a Saturday stay. The worst night of the week to stay over, price-wise. I promised to work OT to cover it and...

The MINUTE we booked it, the forecast changed to storms all weekend. Yay.

Which led me to consider cancelling (sorta, they still keep $50 for 'future' use) for another resort with more indoor attractions. Kalahari has a single huuuuge indoor park with a Master Blaster, Great Wolf had an year-round version of B's favorite slide clearly visible from the highway. But once the online research was done, we found a clear winner. Which was obviously Wilderness.
