...as I hadn't known the 11/11 postings were a thing.
Also, some pics needed culling from B's phone.
Anyhoo, a bit of a different day for us.

It was our 15th and final day aboard the Viking Modi on its journey from Amsterdam to Budapest.
Time to say goodbye to our new old friends and travel with a few of them for a couple extra days in Prague.

'Twas the first day in some time I hadn't worn my GoPro and chest harness while running my daily mile.
Which was unfortunate...

Usually an early AM run on the ship's bulkhead also meant they were piloting the boat. Which would ALSO mean all lights on the deck were out, save for the one the captain shines as a signal to other river traffic. Since we'd cast anchor the prior day? All the pretty lights were on. Would have looked nice in the sunrise. Ah well. Over 10,000 other pics to sort between our phones and two OTHER cameras. Still woulda been nice.

This was the last of my 'view from the veranda' photos from the lil deck of our suite.
Sometimes these would be extra picturesque. Others would be an inch away from a concrete lock wall.

B decided to come out and take a last look, too...

...and take selfies from her much better phone cam.
She took my advice and upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy 10e. I'm stuck with a 9. She's welcome.

We took a few panoramas from the sun deck up top before finally leaving...

...and maybe a few more artsy shots from B...

...before boarding a bus and bidding farewell to the river for good.

Wanna complain about your gas prices? I'll SHOW you what a shitty gas price looks like.

At least the same stop had Random EuroSausage

and interesting flavors of potato sticks.

Cuz come ON. You could find yourself at a KFC instead!

Try hunkering down around a uhhm Five-Piece Onion Ring?

Or a shake half the size of a grown man's fist.
Seriously tho. If they served a BEER that small, the townsfolk would set the place on fire. At midday. With traffic around. And somehow nooobody would know anything bout it.

Before ya knew it, we'd crossed into Czech Republic.
Yes, B's new phone wallpaper is Baby Maximum.

Seven hours after we boarded, we got to the Brutalist Hilton.
And accompanied some batshit nutjob guide for a 'Prague by Night' tour.

A few notable quotes...

"Gypsies used to live here (waving her arm), but now it's a good side of town."

"Let's go to the top of this tower, built in the Communist Era."
(Once we're up top)
"This was built on top of a Jewish cemetary. Tee hee!"

Which made us wish we'd stayed on the fucking ground.
Or at least been told first. In a tone more respectful of the dead.

Trying to smile thru a roiling tornado of WTFing inside my head.

The tour ended with a few of these.
An apology woulda sufficed.
Only one other tour came anywhere near this close to sucking.

Perhaps there were a few good views without obvious cemeteries or inanely insensitive commentary. But wow.

Prague's grocers don't seem to do the ready-to-eat 'deli' thing, as a couple neighboring nations do. We found the 'free range' donuts unsettling, too.

They DID, however, still have the Blood Orange Fanta every inhabitant of the Netherlands apparently lost their minds over-slash-chugged down EVERY friggin bottle of. So there was that.

But all in all....when you visit two grocers, but decide the street vendor's spot looks cleaner? That's sorta different.
