On my college trips there, the guys I was with would collect the flyers and little books of girls like they were comics just to make us girls shake our heads. What made us all laugh hardest was when the little flyer people were handing the girlie flyers to us girls!
Of course, on a trip there with my mother in 2000, they'd try to hand her a flyer and she'd ask - in Spanish, because it seemed that was all they spoke - for the "libros con hombres" and they'd give her this glazed over look. LOL
