Leave it to B
If there's one sort of person I hate more than any...?
It's small-minded folk who refuse to task themselves THINKING.
Thinking involves more than mere comprehension.
It involves opening the mind to new ideas.
The willingness to set old, favorite, familiar and perhaps even comforting thoughts aside.
Sometimes I have ideas that B rejects out of hand.
There's no good reason (okay, if you ask me) not to mull it over more.
BuuUUUUUut this is Brenda, not her Silly Little Parents.
So I give her time. If it's a genuinely good idea? She'll come around.
Which brings me to the present.
B's ready to consider some alternative to cable television.
We have (and will be keeping) cable internet--it's the best option where we live.
We're chucking the cable phone (finally!) and sticking to our cell phones.
Does any use Playstation Vue? What do you think of it?
Hulu's super-cheap, but does not include live, local television.
Vue would give us WCCO at the minimum and Fox Sports North (for me).
We already use Netflix on our 4K telly, my desktops, B's hobby room and the bedroom screen thru streaming Blu-Ray players.
I'd probably pay for it thru a 'rechargeable' third-party credit card, since Sony's had their PlayStation network hacked how many times already...?
There's also a question of the 'five device' limit. Does that apply to portable streaming devices--say, a Chromecast? So if it's moved from one television or flat panel to another, it still counts as one device, right?
Okay. All ears here.
