Or more specifically, a bad mounting bracket on the track?

Okay, THAT's scary.

Scarier yet is the circle of finger-pointing to follow.
I know VF removes, repaints and replaces segments of track in the off-season.
But do they do it themselves or do they subcontract other engineers to do it?

And are those engineers among one of the two firms currently involved in the investigation?
Or are they all going to turn and point at Morgan's under-engineered design to begin with?

What's next?

I'm finding WAY too many reasons to use the Screaming Lunch Lady icon today....

They're just lucky it was at the end of the ride like that rather than on top of a hill - can you imagine if that flipped over and fell????

I love rides, but I'm a bit scared now.

If it was a bracket, it could have only happened in that spot.
But I was expecting to hear about a stress fracture in the train's undercarriage or something. Not a track bracket. Eesh.

There goes the 2007 coaster plans...if indeed they had any.

Wow. glad no one was seriously hurt though. I remember one year at Cedar Point, I was on the iron dragon, starting the first hill andI could see the...Raptor? Yeah, they were ALLLLLL the way at the top of the first hill and all of sudden the bars flew open. (Now don't think they were moving, but the first car was at the top.) They decided AT THAT MOMENT that it was too windy to run the ride and they had to let the riders off one by one at the top for them to climb down. SCARY!
