That stupid 'posting time' thingie, that's what.

If I spend an hour posting an opus or write here and there at my desk between adjudications, it should be time-stamped when I submitted it. Not when I first opened the window.

Ya know?

Then people miss it because they read back to the last friends post they recall reading.
I know I do it.

Rant rant rave you mighta missed a couple late-nighters by me the last couple days.
Sometimes I miss your stuff too. Same reason.

Grrrrrr.

Actually, you don't miss mine because I tend to do the long, not sure when I may get to post it entries in notepad, then copy/paste into LJ. Or if I take too long, I copy the entry I'm working on and past it into a new entry...or take advantage of the new default save where it takes everything you'd last written within a 5-10 minute period and saves it. If you click out and hit update again, it gives you the option to restore from previous draft.

At the very least, you can change the posting time easily enough.

You should download one of the LJ clients. Semagic does exactly what you're talking about. It's glorious.
