Coke Zero is for people who wanna drink something that tastes like COKE without the calories.
Diet Coke is for those stuck-in-the-70s types convinced that diet soda somehow still needs to taste like Tab/saccharine/some sort of horrible, wretched sacrifice.

ha ha... we worked with Coke in one of our projects a few years ago. They want to take Diet Coke out of circulation but they were baffled at why people still favored Diet Coke when it tastes so - well, everything you said! But they can't speak ill of their customers who keep their jobs! ;)

P.S. it's been so long since I have been on the soda aisle, what is that gold color Coke pack on the left of Diet Coke?

I'll drink Diet Coke in the absence of other choices. Still baffled at folks who drink it cuz they wanna.

I had a flat mate who drank boxes and boxes of the stuff, and I could never figure out the attraction. I asked her once, and I think she just liked the taste... (Still can't figure out the attraction...caramel-colored carbonated water with sweetener? Bleh)
